TIME CAPSULE

TIME CAPSULE

For this brief we were working collaboratively to create a time capsule. My work is concentrating on the past and present. Past is our experiences, dreams and hope. Present is what are we now, what define who we are our actions, emotions and reactions. Both of them can be identified frim an identity processing approach. our group theme is media effects on the message to create a different emotional response.

No-one has ever lived in the past. No-one will ever live in the future. The present is the form of all life.”

WHAT MAKES YOU - YOU ?

What came to my mind and made itself at home is a question: What the reason behind the whole time capsule idea? What are the reasons for what we are doing everything: collecting breathing and living

in general? Everything in my head to answers were plain and boring, it didn’t have the sparks – then
after a conversation it hit me. everyone desires to
be remembered, life can seem meaningless and depressed if you don’t have anything after your death to be remembered by or who/ it can be basically anything that was important to you, you are a living breathing organism, that is expected to love and be loved( anyway of love itself: family, friendship, asexual, sexual, tender, social, etc) I want to be remembered,

I don’t want to leave nothing behind me as I never existed, that is a terrifying thought to have.

Dematerialization refers to the deliberate separation of the material component from the informational one. This concept entails a strategic shift towards prioritizing the preservation and dissemination of information independently of its physical embodiment. The objective is to transcend traditional dependencies on tangible forms, allowing information to exist in a more abstract and enduring manner.

In contemplating the preservation of such dematerialized information for future generations, the notion of a time capsule emerges as a compelling strategy. The concept involves encapsulating pertinent information in a secure repository that transcends the temporal constraints of the present. By sealing this repository, akin to a capsule, the intention is to shield the encapsulated information from the passage of time, preserving it intact until it is ceremoniously unveiled in the future.

This time capsule serves as a deliberate act of temporal communication, effectively transcending the immediate temporal context and conveying a message across the boundaries of time. The anticipation is that, when unsealed in a century, the contents of the time capsule will provide valuable insights into the era from which it originated, capturing the essence of the dematerialized information and offering a bridge between the past and the future.
